Hawkeye!
Meet Hawkeye! This 5 year old neutered sweetheart has lovable big ears that are perfect for hearing your training commands with 😉 He is super sweet, very intelligent, and even gets along with kitty siblings! He is so happy to still be around in 2025 because his previous owners almost ended his life in 2024, right before Christmas. He went out for a walk one day and unfortunately his leash broke and he got into a fight with a smaller dog. While no serious injuries occurred to either party, his owners no longer trusted him and they were unwilling to handle this behavior. Despite this being his first offense, they made the decision to have him put down instead of giving him commitment to work through the behavior (they had him since puppyhood and for 4 years of his life without any incidents). Hawkeye was the receiver of a Christmas miracle because a friend in the rescue world heard about him (after a family member advocated for him) and convinced his owners to give him a second chance at life, just moments before he was about to have it ended. With the promise that his rescuer would work towards finding him a safe placement and his furever home, they agreed and he was placed in a kennel thanks to the help of family and friends. Hawkeye moved to a temporary foster home from there and that is where he currently resides; he is adjusting well and his foster mom continually sings his praises about how well mannered and intelligent he is. He LOVES people and is eager to please. While he has no known history of living with children, he did meet a four year old while in his foster home and was very gentle and loving with her so no concerning behavior was noted. We know that Hawkeye already received one miracle; the miracle of life, but now it is time for him to receive one more; the miracle of a new furever family. Please open your heart up to this sweet boy and show him that he can have the stability he longs for again. Whatever lucky adopter (or foster) gets him will receive the help from a Certified Behaviorist*
Charlie
Please meet Charlie. This Lucky (his first name) soul was pulled out of Cooper River on a cold morning this past November. Some kids playing in the woods saw a car drive up and toss a moving trash bag right into the water. Thank goodness, being kids they ran down to the river’s edge and retrieved the bag. When opened, little Lucky popped out his head. One of the kids belonged to a friend of mine who took the pup home and my friend called us. Lucky – now Charlie is a Misfit Angel who is safe and warm and will never revisit the horrors from his past. He is most likely a Terrier Mix of some sort and for the life of me I can’t imagine why anyone would do such a horrible thing. Little Charlie is happy and bouncy and sweet. He gets along with other dogs, likes to chase a cat or two and would be super fine with kids. He is up to date on his vaccines and is waiting for his neuter which will be taken care of by our rescue.
Charlie’s adoption fee is just $400.
YUKON
Our little Yukon came to us via the NYPD when he was taken from a group of kids ready to throw him onto the subway tracks. Our guess is that he went down into the Subway looking to get warm. He was then picked up by a group of kids and was just about to be tossed onto the tracks when transit police grabbed him to safety. He was then taken to the Police Precinct where he was held as a hardened criminal until a rescue partner grabbed him for us. He is as cute as a button and thought to be a young pup. 4 years or less. He is beyond happy and loves lots of snuggles. He is truly one in a million.
He is neutered, microchipped and up to date on all vaccines
His adoption fee is just $525
DOC and DON
These young fellas came to us when their owner lost her housing. She had to leave her furkids behind so she could protect her human kids. I get it. Times are tough. I promised her we would do our best to find them the best homes. There were 4 all together and 2 have since found their forever homes. Only Doc and Don are still wishing for their own happy forever. They do not need to stay together. They are perfectly happy being separated. They are approx 2 years old, up to date on their vaccines and will be neutered by us.
Their adoption fee is $400 for each one or if adopted together special payment arrangements will be made
HAPPY HARRY
Happy Harry was pulled out of Phila ACCT as a Timestamped dog seconds before his time ran out. The only reason he was going to be euthanized is because he is a senior. How sad it would be for this wonderful dog to lose his life. This dog walks around with a smile on his face all the time. I have never seen such a carefree soul. He was perfectly happy living his life until his owner passed away and other family members did not want a dog in their lives so he was surrendered to the shelter. I promise you, if you give this dog a chance you will not regret it. He gets along with other dogs and cats alike. We would not place him with children as he is older and it most likely wouldn’t be a good idea. We never would set our pups up for failure!
Happy Harry is neutered, up to date on all his vaccines and microchipped
His adoption fee is just $400
CHESTER
Chester is a Poodle Mix who found himself stranded at Philadelphia ACCT. He was very scared and was timestamped for that same reason. He was as skinny as a rail and absolutely terrified. All he needed was reassurance that he was going to be okay and that no one was going to hurt him and he blossomed. He came out of his shell and began to play. He began to interact with the other dogs and found his place in life once again. He is a big, sweet, goofy boy who just adores giving hugs! He is now neutered and up to date on vaccines along with being microchipped. This guy needs a fenced in yard to stretch his legs. He would love a family to call his own. This dude is only 2 years old. I can’t imagine the horrors he has witnessed in such a short time. We are looking to change all that. Please consider opening your heart and your home up to this amazing creature!
Chester’s adoption fee is just $525.00
FRANKIE
Little Frankie – picked up as a stray on the streets of Chester! I can’t imagine this little guy running on his own, but that is exactly what happened before Animal Control was there to get him. He could have wound up in a very bad place so easily. That would be such a tragedy. He is a Happy Boy all the way around. Most likely a Shih Tzu mix.
He is up to date on all vaccines along with being microchipped and neutered. This guy loves laying on the couch all day, just staring out the window. If you think you have a couch that would suit him please consider adding him to your life.
His adoption fee is just $400.00
GINGER
Ginger is the GoldenDoodle Mom to the 5 remaining pups that are also here at the show. Poor Ginger was found in a vacated house along with her 15 puppies!! 15 pups out of this tiny mother. They all made it as we helped her by bottle feeding to give her a break. She managed to survive only with a cereal bowl full of water they put down before they left her all alone.
Ginger is now looking for her own home. She is current on all vaccines along with being microchipped. She is waiting to be spayed which will be covered by us, of course! It will take time and patience as Ginger does not know how to be a dog. The only thing she knows is how to make puppies. This will not be her life anymore! She will learn how to be a dog and a great one at that. If you are willing to put in the work that this poor dog needs you will be so rewarded in the end!
Her adoption fee is just $525.00
NYLA
Beautiful Nyla’s story is one that is not for the faint of heart! Nyla was found discarded in a ditch near Newark Airport. She was near death when found and had a large hole in her stomach. We were asked if we were able to step in and help and of course we sprang into action. Nyla was taken to Emergency care where she was to be cleaned up and stitched. During her visit it was discovered WHY she had a gaping hole in her stomach – SHE WAS BEING USED AS A DRUG MULE! How do we know? There was a bag of heroin left behind. Our Poor Baby Girl had a bag of drugs still in her body! We are so so lucky it didn’t burst inside of her – She would have overdosed without question. Nyla is thought to be somewhere between 12 and 14 years old.
Nyla is visually impaired. She is as healthy as she can be. She is Up To Date on all vaccines and is spayed.
Nyla is looking for a Senior to give her as much love and attention as she can handle for her remaining years.
Nyla will not be placed in a home with children – there is no exception to this.
Nyla’s adoption fee is just $300.
Golden Doodle Pups – 5
Meet the puppies! 5 puppies!!
The Momma of the puppies was found abandoned in a recently vacated home. When the owner went in to do a walk through Momma was discovered in the kitchen with 15 – YES 15 pups. All have been adopted except for the 5 remaining. We had a DNA test run on one of the babies and it came back Poodle, Golden Retriever and Doodle – making them Golden Doodles. They were born sometime in the month of August. We took possession of them Aug 19th of 2024, which we listed as their birthdate. They are finished with their vaccines and will be spayed or neutered (depending on sex) when they have reached full maturity. This will be paid for by us – as it always is. These pups are happy and bouncy and as cute as can be! Momma weighs about 30 lbs. We have no idea how big Dad was so it is hard to guess size but we are thinking they won’t get much bigger than Momma. They are typical pups – into everything, not quite housebroken but we are working on it. They love being outdoors. They love kids, cats and other dogs. They are not suited for apartment life as they need mental stimulation.
Adoption fee is just 525.00
JINGLES
`
Poor Poor Jingles. He was picked up as a stray on the mean streets of Elizabeth, New Jersey. Jingles was then taken to the shelter and a partner gave us a call. This dog has a very distinct Before and After picture. He looks NOTHING like he did when he was picked up. His mats were tight to his skin and he needed what is known as a medical shave down. We worked for hours to get him feeling comfortable. After we were finished a beautiful soul emerged. Happy, Sweet and ever so Thankful. He is most likely blind in one eye. Possibly due to his life on the streets. It doesn’t matter to him one bit. He is the cutest little dog. He is happy no matter what he is doing and gets along with other dogs and cats. Due to his vision he would not be suited in a home with children. We are looking for an all adult home for Mr Jingles to spend his days in relaxing and being the wonderful guy that he is.
Jingle’s adoption fee is just $400.00
